__NOISE/XENAKIS__ @ MoCAD

MoCAD hosts percussion artist Zac Brunell in an hour-long dissection of the 'plus' in "Rebonds a+b" - the monumental percussion solo from 1989 by architect/composer Iannis Xenakis. Bookending the evening, 'Rebonds' is the takeoff and landing zone for a bombastic potpourri of noise both personal and supernatural. Wielding the sonic mathematics of physics and nature, the sequenced sounds of Xenakis and Zac are a sonic eddy of uncontrollable force that is sure to mystify one to the very molecule.
